Walnut shell filter media is new generation of light filtering material instead of silica sand filtering medium. Because walnut shell filter media has the advantages of high hardness, ideal specific gravity, porosity and versatility, and after special physicochemical treatment (for example, removing off its color agents, fat, grease and negative ion), making walnut shells has excellent oil removal, solid particles removal and easy backwashing performance in oily water treatment, industrial waste water treatment and civil water treatment. Walnut shell filter media is normally used into water treatment equipment in petroleum company or refinery enterprise to improve water quality and reduce water treatment costs greatly. Walnut shell filter media adopts good quality walnut shells as raw materials, after producing processes of breaking up, winnowing, polishing, steam & wash, drug treatment and twice screening.

1. High hardness and toughness, not damage the filter
2. Wear resistant without putrefaction
3. Good pressure resistant; the average ultimate compressive strength is 0.2295KN(23.40kgf)
4. Stable chemical properties; not dissolved in acid & alkali, natural, non-toxic
5. Little dissolution in water; not cause water quality deterioration phenomenon
6. Strong adsorption capacity and pollutant catching capacity; adsorption rate: 27—50%
7. Good hydrophilic and oil immersion resistant
8. Can be backwashed before filtering, low running cost and convenient management
