Huawei OptiX OSN 9500

The OptiX OSN 9500 is a 10 Gbit/s OCS intelligent optical transmission system applied to national and provincial backbone networks or backbone nodes on the core layer of the metropolitan area networks (MANs).

Based on all the features of MSTP, the OptiX OSN 9500 is compatible with traditional SDH and MSTP networks. The enhanced service adaptation capability fits the equipment into future networks that primarily provide data services, and especially optimized transmission of Ethernet services. In addition, an ASON control plane is added to improve the manageability, reliability, and maintainability of the equipment and networks. The OptiX OSN 9500 provides a complete solution to upgrade the existing SDH or MSTP equipment to ASON intelligent optical equipment, helping operators lower their CAPEX and OPEX in the intensified competition.

Powerful Cross-Connect Ability

720G cross-connect ability in maximum, 40G low-order cross-connect, realize VC4/VC3/VC12 service non-blocking grooming.

Multi-Service Access

Support STM-64/STM-16/STM-4/STM-1 SDH signal, GE/10GE service access, and VC-4-64c/VC-4-16c/VC-4-4c service. Support 2.5G/10G color interface.

Higher Equipment Integration

The OptiX OSN 9500 has 40 service slots. Amplifier needn’t use service slots to get higher slot utilization. It provides 1/2 port STM-64 line card, 1/2/4/8 port STM-16 line card, 16 port STM-4/1 line card (flexible configuration on demand), 16 port STM-1 line card (optical/electrical interface), 16 port GE transparent board & 16 port GE L2 process board, 1 port 10GE Ethernet switch process board, supporting VC-4-64c,VC-4-16c and VC-4-4c service.
